A Message from Supervisor Jose Medina – Here to Serve District 1
I’m honored to introduce myself as your newly sworn-in Supervisor for Riverside County District 1. I’ve spent my life working to make our community stronger. Now, I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for you.
Putting Our Community First
My top priorities for District 1 include:
- Community Safety: Working with local law enforcement and emergency services to keep our neighborhoods safe.
- Responsible Growth: Making sure our community grows in a way that protects our environment and resources.
- Supporting Families and Small Businesses: Expanding programs and resources that help our community thrive.
I believe in listening and working together to build a stronger, safer, and more vibrant District 1.
As we embark on this new journey, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge the words of the previous Supervisor, Kevin Jeffries, in his final edition of Kevin’s Corner:
Kevin Jeffries’ last newsletter highlighted several key challenges and opportunities facing Riverside County, including significant budget concerns, transportation infrastructure hurdles, toll lane expansions, firefighter paramedic shortages, and the future of March Air Reserve Base. These insights provide a valuable roadmap for what lies ahead as we work towards addressing the needs of our communities.
As your Supervisor for District 1, I am committed to continuing the legacy of public service and addressing these pressing issues with transparency and dedication. Stay tuned for updates as we move forward in building a stronger, more resilient Riverside County.

Mensaje del Supervisor José Medina – Aquí estoy para Servir al Distrito 1
Es un honor para mí presentarme como su supervisor recién juramentado para el Distrito 1 del condado de Riverside. Ahora estoy listo para remangarme y ponerme a trabajar para ustedes.
Poner a nuestra comunidad en primer lugar
Mis principales prioridades para el Distrito 1 incluyen:
- Seguridad comunitaria: trabajar con las autoridades locales y los servicios de emergencia para mantener seguros nuestros vecindarios.
- Crecimiento responsable: Asegurarnos de que nuestra comunidad crezca de una manera que proteja nuestro medio ambiente y nuestros recursos.
- Apoyar a las familias y la pequeña empresa: ampliar los programas y recursos que ayudan a nuestra comunidad a prosperar.
Creo en escuchar y trabajar juntos para construir un Distrito 1 más fuerte, seguro y vibrante.
Mientras nos embarcamos en este nuevo viaje, nos gustaría tomarnos un momento para reconocer las palabras del supervisor anterior, Kevin Jeffries, en su última edición de Kevin's Corner:
El último boletín de Kevin Jeffries destacó varios desafíos y oportunidades clave que enfrenta el condado de Riverside, incluidas importantes preocupaciones presupuestarias, obstáculos en la infraestructura de transporte, expansiones de carriles de peaje, escasez de bomberos-paramédicos y el futuro de la Base de la Reserva Aérea March. Estos conocimientos proporcionan una guía valiosa para lo que nos espera a medida que trabajamos para abordar las necesidades de nuestras comunidades.
Como su supervisor del Distrito 1, estoy comprometido a continuar el legado del servicio público y abordar estos problemas urgentes con transparencia y dedicación. Estén atentos a las actualizaciones a medida que avanzamos en la construcción de un condado de Riverside más fuerte y resiliente.
